Snapdragon Pro Series Announces Free Fire Mobile Masters Event with $400,000 Prize Pool

The prestigious Snapdragon Pro Series has just announced an exciting addition to its mobile esports tournament circuit: the Mobile Masters event for the wildly popular game Free Fire. This highly-anticipated event will take place from April 12th to 14th, 2024, and will showcase teams from Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region battling it out for a staggering $400,000 (~£315,196) in prize money.

World-Class Competition from the Mobile Masters

The 12 teams participating in the Snapdragon Pro Series Free Fire event will earn their spots through Mobile Challenge-level competitions, including the thrilling Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Challenge Finals in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 24th and 25th, 2024. A $40,000 (~£31,512) prize pool and six Mobile Masters spots will be up for grabs at this preliminary challenge.

>Developed by Garena, Free Fire is a massively popular mobile shooter esports title. After a temporary ban in India due to national security concerns, the game returned in August, reinvigorating its fanbase. In 2021, the Free Fire World Series event amassed an impressive 6.4 million peak viewers, making it the second most-viewed esports event worldwide.

In addition to showcasing Free Fire, the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters is also set to include a Call of Duty: Mobile event from April 12th to 13th, 2024. This event will gather eight teams representing six regions competing for their share of a $200,000 (~£157,566) prize pool.

Continued Expansion for the Snapdragon Pro Series

The Snapdragon Pro Series has been on an impressive growth trajectory. In 2023, it revealed an expanded roadmap, granting Latin American players and teams access to the series. That same year, the Snapdragon Pro Series also organized a Mobile Masters event for Brawl Stars in Japan.

Sam Braithwaite, the Vice President of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, at Snapdragon Pro Series, commented on the announcement:

“At the halfway point of the SPS Year 2, we’ve already seen nearly 50% more players and more than double the hours watched compared to Year 1. Mobile Masters is set to be the culmination of that growth trajectory, with the world’s best coming to our newest region. We’re excited to welcome fans from around the globe to Brazil as we crown new World Champions.”
