The IESF President is responsible for overseeing the organization’s strategic development and growth, partnering with key stakeholders in the esports industry, and ensuring the competitive integrity and inclusivity of esports worldwide.

Prince Faisal’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the esports industry, as he faces tackling various challenges and opportunities. As president, he will need to navigate the complexities of a rapidly growing and evolving industry, address concerns about player welfare and competitive integrity, and work alongside a diverse mix of stakeholders, including developers, players, and sponsors.

In addition, the announcement of the 2024 IESF World Championship to be hosted in Saudi Arabia could create further opportunities for global collaboration and growth in esports, thanks to the Prince’s direct involvement in the event.

International Esports Federation’s Role in the Esports Industry

The IESF, founded in 2008, is one of the world’s oldest and largest esports organizations, representing 71 member nations and acting as the custodian of esports globally.
