New Features and Game Modes
This season, we’re adding a thrilling new game mode: Overwatch Haste! In this fast-paced mode, players will have their cooldowns and movement speeds significantly increased, bringing a whole new angle to your favorite maps. Experience the adrenaline rush of Overwatch Haste beginning December 5th.

Hero Balance Changes
As mentioned earlier, we’ve made significant changes to some of our heroes for Season 8, focusing on improving the overall gameplay experience and maintaining balance among the heroes. You can expect to see the following alterations:
New Hero: Mauga
Introducing Mauga, a Talon powerhouse and the newest Tank to join the fray! With heavy firepower and a menacing presence, Mauga is a formidable enemy that will keep the opposing teams on their toes. Master him early, and you’ll rule the battlefield.
Hero Buffs
- [x] Roadhog: No changes, but monitoring progress.
- [x] Doomfist: Heals 75 HP every second while using his ultimate.
- [x] Ramattra: Shifts 100 HP to armor and increases projectile size and damage.
- [x] Winston: Tesla Cannon will ignore armor’s damage reduction.
- [x] Sombra: EMP hack duration increased from 1.5 to 3.0 seconds and damage nerf to 25% max HP.
- [x] Tracer: Bullet damage increased from 5.5 to 6.
Hero Nerfs
- [x] Soldier: 76: Healing cooldown increased from 15 to 18 seconds.
- [x] Brigitte: Whip Shot damage buff reverted for more support picks.
- [x] Baptiste: Primary fire ammo reduced from 45 to 36 per magazine.
Bug Fixes and Quality of Life Improvements
We’ve worked tirelessly on addressing bugs and making numerous quality of life improvements, adding to the overall player experience. Expect to see improvements in:
- Menus and user interface
- Performance and stability
- Audio and visual updates
