With high-performance handheld gaming devices like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally dominating mobile gaming hours, publishers are specifically optimizing discount pricing for verified handheld experiences that achieve steady 60 FPS under a tight 15W TDP thermal envelope.

Handheld Telemetry: Steam Deck Battery & Performance Profiling
Optimizing games for low-power handheld play ensures extended battery life during holiday travel. Running The Plucky Squire on Steam Deck OLED at 800p with a 45Hz/45FPS refresh rate cap yields over 4.5 hours of continuous gameplay, while Owlboy draws under 7W total system power. As explored in our hardware report on NieR: Automata Steam Patch Storage Telemetry, verifying internal storage partitions prevents download bottlenecks on handheld micro-SD cards.
