This weapon is currently over-performing at almost every damage range. Expect Treyarch to implement a heavy damage-falloff nerf before Weekend 2 of the Beta begins. Abuse this build while you still can.
The goal of this build is to maximize Sprint-to-Fire speed for aggressive Omnimovement diving, while completely neutralizing the weapon’s horizontal bounce so you can challenge Assault Rifles at medium range.
- Muzzle: Compensator (Critical for removing horizontal recoil).
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel (Boosts bullet velocity and effective damage range, allowing the SMG to compete on larger maps like Scud).
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip (Provides a massive boost to sprinting movement speed and tames vertical kick).
- Magazine: Extended Mag I (The Jackal’s fire rate is blisteringly fast; you will need the extra bullets to survive 1v3 engagements).
- Rear Grip: CQB Grip (Drastically lowers your Sprint-to-Fire time, ensuring you shoot first after an Omnimovement slide).
How to Play the Meta
Do not play passively with this weapon. The Jackal PDW is designed to break cameras.
Equip the Assassin and Dexterity perks. You should constantly be sprinting sideways across doorways and executing lateral dives. Because the CQB grip allows you to fire almost instantly while diving, enemy players tracking you on standard sensitivity will not be able to adjust their aim fast enough to kill you.
