With 12 top teams on board, including Fnatic, Moist Esports, TSM, and Disguised, the ALGS Year 4 partnership program aims to support and foster growth within the professional player base and the wider esports community.

Year 4 Partnership Program – A New Boost for Apex Legends Teams

The ALGS partnership program has been present since the first year of the Global Series, working to sustain team health and growth. The program has maintained a low profile until now, with Year 4 heralding a new era for Apex Legends esports.

As part of this program, 12 prominent teams across various regions have been shortlisted, which are:

  • Alliance
  • DarkZero
  • Disguised
  • FaZe Clan
  • Fnatic
  • FURIA
  • LG Chivas
  • Moist Esports
  • OpTic Gaming
  • Riddle
  • TSM
  • XSET

Despite these new partnerships, the format for ALGS remains largely unchanged as the Preseason Qualifiers are already underway.

Perspectives on the ALGS Partnership Program

Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang, founder of Disguised, expressed his excitement for the partnership: “The fanbase is incredibly passionate, and the watch parties were so fun to host. It’s an esports I can see us being in for a long time with the support of EA, and I’m excited to have Disguised as a partnered team for 2024.”

When asked about the effect of this program on Apex Legends, both from a business and competitive standpoint, a representative from Apex Legends stated, “This partnership presents a unique opportunity for us to work closely with these top organizations, further solidifying Apex Legends’ position in the esports industry. It will not only boost the competitive scene but also attract more players to the game thanks to increased exposure through high-profile partnerships.”

Growing Esports Popularity through Strategic Partnerships

The ALGS partnership program could signal a new trend in the esports industry, as other game developers might be inspired by the growth fostered by such collaborations. Furthermore, partnerships like this demonstrate the increasing readiness of esports organizations to invest in the competitive gaming sphere and contribute to its maturation as professional sports.

By working together, the ALGS and partnered teams will not only secure a stronger competitive ecosystem for Apex Legends but set the stage for other companies to invest in similar partnerships. As esports continues to gain traction worldwide, innovative collaborations will be key to unlocking the industry’s full potential and ensuring a bright future for all involved.
