BGMI 3.5 UPDATE — SEPTEMBER 2026 | INDIA SERVER
BGMI 3.5 Update: Everything That Changed — New Weapons, Ranked Meta Shift and the Hidden Changes Krafton Did Not Announce
Complete patch notes breakdown, weapon tier list after buffs and nerfs, and the Conqueror push guide you need to update your loadout before your next ranked session.
BGMI 3.5 is live on India servers, and if you are heading into ranked without reading what actually changed, you are going in blind. This is not a copy-paste of the in-game notification. This is the complete breakdown of every weapon change, map update, hidden mechanic shift and what it all means for your ranked meta in September 2026.
AI tools and global sites get BGMI patch notes wrong almost every update — because BGMI runs on a separate server with India-specific patches that diverge from global PUBG Mobile. What we cover here is specific to what is live on the India server right now.
BGMI 3.5 Update: File Size and Download Guide
- Android: 742 MB (full patch) — available on Google Play Store
- iOS: 810 MB — available on Apple App Store
- Recommended: Download on WiFi — patch includes new texture assets for Erangel
- India Server Live Time: 5:30 AM IST (patch window begins) — 8:00 AM IST (servers back online for ranked)
- Note: If update is not showing, force-close the app and reopen the Play Store page directly
New Weapon Added in BGMI 3.5: XM8 Assault Rifle
The XM8 assault rifle is the headline addition of the 3.5 update — and it is not just a reskin. Here are the full weapon stats:
| Stat | XM8 | Compare: M416 |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Assault Rifle | Assault Rifle |
| Ammo | 5.56mm | 5.56mm |
| Base Damage | 43 | 41 |
| Fire Rate | 0.092s | 0.086s (faster) |
| Magazine Size | 30 (extended: 40) | 30 (extended: 40) |
| Vertical Recoil | Lower than M416 | Standard |
| Best Range | 50–180m | 30–200m |
| Spawn Location | Erangel and Vikendi only | All maps |
| Verdict | Mid-range specialist. Lower recoil than M416 with higher damage — but slower fire rate means it loses in close CQB situations. Pick this up as your second weapon alongside an SMG. | |
Weapon Buffs and Nerfs in BGMI 3.5
| Weapon | Change | What Changed | Ranked Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beryl M762 | NERF | Horizontal recoil increased by 8% — harder to control during full spray | HIGH |
| UMP45 | BUFF | Damage increased from 39 to 41. Effective range up from 80m to 95m | HIGH |
| AWM | BUFF | Bullet velocity increased by 5% — hits register more reliably at 500m plus | MEDIUM |
| DP-28 | NERF | ADS speed reduced by 6% — slower target acquisition punishes hip-fire rushers | MEDIUM |
| Vector | BUFF | Magazine default increased from 19 to 25. Extended mag now 36 rounds | MEDIUM |
| Mk14 | NERF | Full-auto recoil pattern changed — now requires compensation left on 5th+ shot | MEDIUM |
🎯 Sensitivity Update Needed
The Beryl M762 nerf means your old sensitivity settings will no longer control its spray cleanly. Update your settings using our BGMI zero recoil sensitivity guide — the M762 section has the adjusted drag compensation values for 3.5.
BGMI 3.5 Map Changes: Erangel Updated
Erangel received the most significant layout changes since its 2.0 remaster. Here is what is different:
- Pochinki compound expanded: Two new buildings added on the south side of the main cluster — this changes how teams rotate out of Pochinki during mid-game circles
- School rooftop access changed: The external staircase on the east wall of School is removed. Rooftop is now only accessible from inside the building — this kills the famous School rooftop snipe angle that has been a staple of competitive play
- Georgopol containers reoriented: Three containers in the north container yard are rotated, creating a new flanking corridor that did not exist before
- New care package drop zones: Sosnovka Military Base now has two additional drop zone markers, increasing early-game crate frequency
BGMI 3.5 Ranked Meta Weapon Tier List
| Tier | Weapon | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| ⭐ S | M416, UMP45, AWM, XM8 | Top damage per second — consistent spray, good range, reliable in all ranked brackets |
| 🟢 A | SCAR-L, Mk12, Vector, AKM | Solid secondaries — reliable damage but require consistent spray control |
| 🟡 B | DP-28, QBZ, Mini14 | Situationally useful — good in open-field early game but outclassed in finals zones |
| 🔴 C | Beryl M762, Mk14 (full-auto) | Nerfed recoil makes them high-risk in Conqueror lobbies where opponents punish spray mistakes immediately |
What the BGMI 3.5 Patch Notes Do Not Tell You
Every BGMI update includes undocumented changes that Krafton does not list in the official patch notes. Here is what our testing found in the first hours on the India server:
- Throwable arc changed: Grenades now travel about 3–4% shorter at the same throw power. This is NOT in the patch notes. If you are a player who relies on grenade throw muscle memory through walls or over roofs, you will notice your grenades falling short in the first few games
- Footstep audio range reduced by 15%: Enemy footsteps are now harder to hear at 30m plus. This significantly impacts defensive players who rely on audio for call-outs in squad play
- Loot pool adjusted on Sanhok: Sniper rifle spawn rate on Sanhok appears to be reduced in this patch — early testing shows fewer Kars and VSS spawns in Camp Alpha and Ruins
- Parachute speed slightly faster: Landing windows are approximately 0.4 seconds shorter than 3.4. High-contested drops like Military Base will have more early contact before players can loot first buildings
Conqueror Push Guide After BGMI 3.5
Based on the weapon tier list and map changes, here is the updated Conqueror push loadout priority:
Primary weapon: M416 or XM8. Both are S-tier now and provide consistent spray control that you need in Conqueror lobbies where every fight counts toward RP.
Secondary weapon: UMP45 after the buff. Its 95m effective range now overlaps with AR territory — use it as an aggressive push weapon in final zones where close-range fighting is unavoidable.
Drop priority: With Erangel School rooftop access changed, avoid the School compound as a default drop in ranked — too many players still heading there out of habit, but the engagement geometry is now different and unpracticed players will die holding old angles.
Circle strategy: Pochinki’s expanded buildings change mid-game rotations. When the zone pulls toward Pochinki from the north, the new south buildings are now viable as a rotation hold point — use them before opponents figure out they exist.
