Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Latest Update Finally Lets You Switch Off Its Annoying Chromatic Aberration
The latest title update 1.0.5 for Assassin’s Creed Mirage has just been released, introducing a plethora of fixes and tweaks to Ubisoft’s renowned action-adventure series. One of the most eagerly-awaited adjustments is the capacity to enable or disable the notorious chromatic aberration effect in the game.
Alongside the chromatic aberration toggle, this update, ranging in size between 3 to 6 gigabytes based on the platform, includes numerous other enhancements. For example, Basim now has “an equal chance to play any of his takedown animations during front executions.” Additionally, several bug fixes regarding NPCs, animations, and UI were incorporated.
On a more ambiguous note, following the release of this update, “cinematics should now run properly after credits,” although the specific cinematics in question remain unclear. A nice touch to the audio settings is the new option to “enable/disable background music during the call to prayer.”
Launched just last month, Assassin’s Creed Mirage harkens back to the series’ roots, delivering an experience akin to the original Assassin’s Creed titles as opposed to the RPG-like direction taken in recent iterations. Update 1.0.5 mainly addresses the game’s stability, resolving an issue that led to crashes to the dashboard after the previous 1.0.3 update on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although these updates were released only days apart, Ubisoft continues to respond to issues quickly to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
