Crypto.com Arena etched its name into the sports history books on Tuesday night as a decades-long dream became reality. The Historic Moment: 4:00 Mark of the Second Quarter
First and foremost, history unfolded with four minutes remaining before halftime when head coach JJ Redick summoned both LeBron James and rookie Bronny James to the scorer’s table simultaneously. For the first time in the NBA’s 78-year existence, a father and son shared the hardwood together in an official regular season contest.

Anthony Davis Commands the Paint Against Gobert
Furthermore, while the James family narrative captured global headlines, Anthony Davis delivered the true on-court masterclass. Going head-to-head with reigning four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, Davis bullied his way to 36 points and 16 rebounds.
- Offensive Hub: Redick utilized Davis at the high elbow, running dribble handoffs and backdoor cuts that kept Minnesota’s frontline in perpetual foul trouble.
- Defensive Paint Protection: Davis blocked three shots and altered countless rim attempts by Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle.
