Gameplay Changes

  • Movement Exploit Fixed: Valve has officially fixed a case where player speed was calculating incorrectly (too high) when moving directly against level geometry and walls. This “wall-surfing” speed boost was being heavily exploited on maps with long corridors.

Map Updates

Valve continues to support the incredible community mappers by pushing the latest versions of workshop maps to the official servers:

  • Boulder: Updated to the latest version from the Community Workshop. (Fixed various clipping issues and optimized textures).
  • Poseidon: Updated to the latest version from the Community Workshop. (Adjusted lighting in key choke points and improved collision boxes).

  • August 12 Update: Pushed updates for community maps Fachwerk and Shelter.
