WWE heads to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel 2026, introducing a monumental new tradition to professional wrestling: the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship. Announced by Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, the annual premium live event will pit the reigning men’s and women’s world champions against one another in non-title, bragging-rights clashes for a massive 50-carat diamond title belt.
The Main Event: Cody Rhodes vs Gunther (Champion vs Champion)
In the men’s showcase, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes collides with World Heavyweight Champion The Ring General Gunther. This clash represents an exquisite ideological contrast: the American Nightmare’s resilient babyface heroics against the Austrian juggernaut’s brutal, no-nonsense European grappling clinic. With both champions protected on their respective weekly brands (SmackDown and Raw), the finish is expected to involve major dramatic twists to protect both titles heading into Survivor Series: WarGames.
Bloodline Civil War Escalation
The Bloodline saga enters its most combustible chapter yet. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso have allied with Cody Rhodes to combat Solo Sikoa’s rogue faction featuring Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. With rumors swirling regarding the imminent return of Jey Uso to reunite the Original Bloodline, Crown Jewel promises massive interference and high-stakes backstage confrontations.
