Mobile Game BGMI Features Bollywood Superstar Ranveer Singh as Playable Character

KRAFTON India has taken the gaming world by storm with the latest update for its popular battle royale title, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Version 2.9 introduces Bollywood superstar and brand ambassador Ranveer Singh as a playable character for the very first time, allowing players to immerse themselves the charismatic world of this iconic actor.
This unprecedented collaboration is part of KRAFTON India’s ongoing efforts to create localized content for the Indian gaming community, reflecting their commitment “to localizing content for the Indian audience and creating moments that resonate culturally with our diverse player base,” as stated by Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India.
Unveiling the Ranveer Singh Experience
The BGMI 2.9 Update introduces several exclusive features inspired by Ranveer Singh’s persona, including the Ranveer Singh discovery event, Ranveer Singh crate, and a Play and Win event with enticing rewards. Players can choose between two 3D Ranveer Singh avatars—RS Dark Stealth and RS Swaggy Baba—and enjoy emotes inspired by the actor’s popular dance moves. Moreover, the update comes with a special voice pack that captures the star’s unique style.

In addition to the avatars and emotes, the RS crate offers other exclusive items such as the RS Swaggy Buggy, RS Fury -M249 upgradable gun skin, RS Dhamaka (grenade skin), and RS Pan-cho (pan skin). Players can open the RS crate by spending UC (in-game currency) for drawing rewards.
Points, Tokens, and Events
The Ranveer Singh Discovery event features a point-based system where players accumulate points by participating in Classic mode matches, offering various rewards such as ornaments, space gifts, and parachutes. The event is live until January 25, giving players ample time to join in and gather points.
The Play and Win event includes tasks such as playing as Ranveer Singh, Pure Showdown, teaming up, Pure Speed, and daily logins. Players can collect RS tokens and exchange them for permanent rewards like the Lion Champion Set, Lion Champion Headgear, and other exclusive items.
