Sentinels Post-TenZ Era: The New Tactical Philosophy
Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo’s decision to conclude his competitive career at the peak of his powers (winning Masters Madrid and finishing 4th at Champions Seoul) triggered an existential dilemma for Sentinels. Head coach kaplan responded by pivoting the squad toward tactical versatility.
By bringing in Sean ‘bang’ Bezerra alongside Zachary ‘zekken’ Patrone and Jordan ‘Zellsis’ Montemurro, Sentinels possess two flexible players capable of trading Omen, Viper, and neon roles on the fly. This fluid structure prevents teams from predicting Sentinels’ defensive setups on cavernous new maps like Abyss.
VCT 2026 Competitive Calendar & Format Changes
- Championship Points Rework: Regular stage matches will award 2 Championship Points for a 2–0 victory, incentivizing teams to finish series quickly.
- 3 Masters Events: Bangkok (Masters 1 in February), Toronto (Masters 2 in June), and Paris (Champions 2026 in September).
- Ascension Integration: 2x promoted Ascension squads enter each regional league, expanding VCT Americas, EMEA, and Pacific to 12 teams each.
