Gamescom 2026 has officially wrapped up in Cologne, Germany, and it was a massive success for the European gaming market. However, the most exciting games were not shown to the public on the massive show floors.
The real magic happens behind closed doors, in the VIP press rooms where developers showcase early, highly unoptimized builds of massive upcoming titles. Thanks to several journalists and industry insiders who broke their NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) this weekend, we have a massive list of Gamescom 2026 leaks.
Here is everything that was secretly shown behind closed doors at Gamescom this year.
Unannounced Hardware and Next-Gen RPGs
🚨 THE NINTENDO SITUATION
According to multiple Gamescom 2026 leaks, Nintendo allegedly held highly secretive developer presentations showcasing tech demos for their next-generation console, proving it can seamlessly run Unreal Engine 5 titles at 60 FPS.
Aside from hardware rumors, the software leaks are staggering.
The biggest Gamescom 2026 leak involves a highly anticipated Western RPG that has been in development for over six years. According to insiders who saw the closed-door presentation, the game features a completely seamless open world with zero loading screens between massive cities and deep underground dungeon networks. The combat system was described as a brutal, visceral mix of Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077.
Additionally, a massive Japanese publisher reportedly showed a very early alpha build of a highly requested remake. The leaked details suggest the game is utilizing the RE Engine and features completely overhauled, hyper-realistic graphics while maintaining the original game’s fixed-camera aesthetic.
